Paul Hurford has more than nine years experience in emergency management in Southeast Asia and has been instrumental in training police and fire services in Cambodia in major incident management and critical response procedures, as well as implementing risk management concepts within the region.
Paul was a professional firefighter in Melbourne, Australia for more than 10 years, and has spent time working with the fire service in Columbia and working on United Nations projects in Timor Leste through his involvement as a founder and director of Australian Firefighters International Relief and Education (AFIRE).
In the past years Paul has focused on fire safety issues in the community and industry throughout Cambodia and has been responsible for some innovative solutions to specialist risk within the region.
Paul’s business and leadership qualities have allowed him to grow AZISAFE into a market leading company in under 5 years. Paul also sits on the Board of the Cambodian Eagles Football Club in the role of President. He is also heavily involved in the development of the Cambodian Fire Protection Association, and the Cambodian Emergency Response Working Group.
Paul resides in Phnom Penh, Cambodia with his wife and 3 children.
